| BAR ASSOCIATION'S LIBERTY BELL AWARD GOES TO SHERIFF BROWN |
|
The DeKalb Bar Association, Inc., has named Sheriff Thomas E. Brown as the Liberty Bell Award recipient for 2006. The association presents the award in recognition of someone who has “promoted better understanding of the rule of the law, encouraged a greater respect for law and the courts, stimulated a sense of civic responsibility, and contributed to good government in the community,” said Recorders Court Judge Ralph Merck, who co-chaired the awards committee.
“We also like to acknowledge someone who goes ‘above and beyond’ their duties,” Judge Merck said.
